For First Timers

Welcome, First Timers!

The NCE Conference is held Tuesday through Thursday. Tuesday is a Preconference day, loaded with lots of interesting workshops from which you can choose. Wednesday and Thursday are dedicated to our keynote speakers and sessions related to specific career fields.

Vendor exhibits showcasing curriculum materials, fundraising opportunities, software/hardware and related services are displayed on Wednesday in the prefunction area and Ballroom. Prizes are available in special drawings from vendors.

Conference sessions take place at the Interstate Holiday Inn in Kearney. Many of the specialty workshops are held at various locations across the city, i.e.; ESU 10, UNK, Kearney High School, as stated in the program.

Attendance at last year's conference exceeded 500 attendees; therefore, it is important to make advance room reservations. Several hotels have special conference rates and are listed under the Housing/Lodging link of this site.

Chadron State and Wayne State Colleges will be offering the NCE Conference for three (3) hours of graduate credit. Each registrant is asked to wear a conference name badge throughout the conference. Coffee and other beverages will be available starting at 8:00 am, and continuing throughout each day.

Participants have three registration options this year-Tuesday only (Preconference Day)registration is $80.00; Wednesday and Thursday is $160.00 or; all three days for a registration fee of $190.00 (a $50 discount). A late fee of $25 will be charged to registrations received after May 3.

The full three-day and Wednesday/Thursday registration fee includes materials for one career field and lunch on both days. Preconference registration includes includes materials for selected workshop and boxed lunch.

Written cancellations are required and include a $50.00 handling fee. No refunds will be provided for no-shows. Some of the workshops and meal functions require additional fees.

When you submit your registration on-line, an invoice will be generated and sent to the email you provided. This will be the only invoice you will receive so it is important that you forward it to the appropriate person for payment. Checks should be made payable to NCE Conference and mailed to NCSA, 455 South 11th Street, Suite A, Lincoln, NE 68508.

On-line registration will be available April 1, 2010.
